Chiropractic Remedies

The profession known as chiropractic care is, in itself a healthcare discipline that supposes to prevent and treat health problems by applying adjustments to correct any spinal dysfunctions. The practitioners delivering the care are known as Chiropractic Physicians and claim to be effective in the treatment of neck and back pains, headaches and other symptoms that are viewed as spinal related.

Chiropractic remedies are based on the spine's structure and the ancient art of manipulation. It states that many of its ailments are caused by the vertebrae impinging on the spinal nerves, also known as subluxations.

The practice works by manipulations or adjustments to correct the proper vertebral alignment to ensure that normal brain and nerve transmissions are restored and the body is able to recover from illness.

You can find a Chiropractor in most cities and with most surgeries; you can register and be seen on the same day.

Many people associate 'chiropractic' with lower back problems. Although they are not wrong in this meaning, the accurate definition is 'a health care service that emphasizes the structural integrity of the body, in particular health disorders relating to the spine and nervous system'.

Chiropractors work with the spine which consists of the head to the pelvis, to correct spinal faults and the nerves which go from the spine to other areas of the body.

According to research, over 80% of the population suffer from a Vertebrogenic disorder during their lifetime. Vertebrogenic disorders mean disorders to the body that are caused by partial or whole spinal faults.

These disorders do not only refer to the neck and back. They include tension headaches, migraine headaches, neuralgia, pain in the arms and shoulders, chest pain and abdomen, dizziness, pain in the knees, hips and legs (sciatica), disc disorders, some digestive disorders and menstrual cycle problems.

The connection to what appears to be unrelated conditions and the spine is the nerves, which serve all areas of our body and can be irritated indirectly or directly by spinal disorders.

Those who suffer with arthritis often find relief through chiropractic care, although it is not possible to completely cure arthritis.

Spinal problems often begin in childhood, many years before the clinical symptoms appear. If they are identified early, many of the disorders can be reversed, making spinal examinations in children imperative.

During your first visit, you chiropractor discusses not only your immediate problem, but your past health problems because facts such as these help in the Chiropractor's interpretation of the findings.
